What People's Say About Place

Great little place. Food tasted great and was nice and hot. Did not taste like it came out of a microwave like many do. Had the Tamale Plate, very good. Came with rice and beans. The rice was not dry, a good thing. The tamales were cooked great in the corn husk. I tend to spice things up a bit and put their green sauce on it and that was just the right amount, not too spicy but just right. Glad I did not take the red as I was told it is very hot. Good little place. Walk up to the counter, order and find a table. The do take out service as well. Small parking lot shared with a natural foods store so not the best for parking if you go at lunch or dinner I bet.

QUALITY!! The food is Delish! The service is immaculate & they are Consistently this way! This time I ordered 3 chorizo tacos & a beef empanada with a strawberry marg. The marg was made fresh with REAL fruit! & you can taste it! Do yourself a favor, and treat yourself!

Service was a little slow but there were only 2 people working at the time. The food was soooooo good. I had a Tlyauda. Honestly wasn't expecting it to be that large! Took most of it home. The salsa was delicious, Guacamole too. The rice and beans and chips will definitely have me coming back. Looking forward to trying something different each time. Please be patient, the food is worth the wait.

I love this place so much that I went twice this weekend! In my quest to find Mexican food similar to what I'm used to from living close to the border in San Diego the last 30 years, I came across this place in a Google search and am so glad I did! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic, and the owner, Karina, is so sweet and dedicated to making sure customers are happy. It is very close to Campus 805 and is well worth it if you're in the area or feel like venturing out for lunch or dinner.

One of my favorite authentic Mexican restaurants in town. They have such a large variety of food with pictures. They even serve coffee and pastries. The owner at the front of the restaurant is polite and very helpful with menu selections. Food/Drink: I ordered a Jamaica (Hibiscus). It wasn’t too sweet, and had the right amount of tartness. Compared to Tex Mex and Mexican restaurants in town, they provide a meager amount of chips, but they are freshly made with some homemade salsa. I didn’t really have to worry about snacking on the chips because my food came out fairly quickly. I ordered some Mole Enchiladas and received some large portions. The chicken enchiladas were a little juicy, and the mole really enhanced the flavor. I loved the smokiness of the ancho falling through + the chocolate flavor. The cotija cheese and crema drizzled on top of the mole was good too. It had a tinge of sweetness, and paired well with the Jamaica. I recommend you try this place out!

We want to come here daily. Perfectly balanced margarita, not too sweet. Street tacos to die for. There are diced fresh onions AND grilled onions on the tacos! Salsa flavors that are both a deep sultry kiss and simultaneous slap in the face. Try the green tamale too! Why can’t we eat more? Life is terribly unfair sometimes.

Authentic Mexican food,Not texmex in fact with a californian touch to it. Really good customer service and friendly environment. Would recommend 100% . Very delicious variety of food.
